This website started life as a portal into the late mp3.com streaming/download music service, the original host
for getting my music. During the two years that mp3.com hosted my songs, over 7000 download requests were
serviced, placing my tunes in the top ten Colorado Folk genre for a consistent twenty four month period,
starting in early January 2002, and introducing folks to the genre known as Contemporary Mountain and Prairie.
In all, around 2700 CDs sold, and I found myself immersed in a warm and wonderful online musical community the
likes of which might not be seen again.
In December 2003, mp3.com closed their doors, marking a transition out of the Golden Age of web-based music
promotion and an end to the web presence as we came to know it.
So here's whats new. Contemporary Mountain and Prairie is even more campfire than ever! And all with a fresh new
sound, fuller and deeper. And an all-new webpage to make it available to you. And as always, it's free for the
taking!
Getting the music is easy. Click on a title and watch the song travel from my website to your computer.
Then play it. No service to sign up with (like you did with mp3.com) or anything else. You can put these songs
in your mp3 player, or burn 'em onto CDs, or use them as soundtracks in yer next big-dollar film epic and help
get me into the Oscars.
So here's to Modern Campfire, may the genre outlast our great-grandchildren and with it, our own meager
contributions to the form.
Thanks Yall!
